Lauren and Joey’s Al Fresco Fall Micro Wedding at Drumore Estate
From the photographer: As several other couples around the globe, Lauren and Joey’s wedding day has been affected by covid-19. For over a year, they had planned a big wedding celebration on 10/17/20. But, when forced to come up with a “Plan B”, this amazing couple contacted a few of their vendors and decided to move forward with an intimate garden, fall micro-wedding inviting 20 of their closest family members and friends… Including Belle, the Dog of Honor, as Lauren and Joey were calling the dog they raise together.
Their micro-wedding took place at the beautiful and secluded Drumore Estate in Pequea, PA. They chose to say I DO and celebrate it with an Al Fresco ceremony and Dinner, so everything could look elegant, beautiful while keeping everyone safe.
Lauren thought about so many details. Since her father has passed away recently, she decided to honor himby wearing his favorite shirt while she was getting dressed. She had also cut a piece of the shirt her dad wore on her brother’s wedding into a heart shape and sewn it to her wedding dress! And the most special part, she also wore a gold, heart-shaped locket with his ashes in it so she would feel him close to her. And during the ceremony, she had also saved a special honorary seat in memory of her dad.
When guests arrived at the ceremony they were greeted with a gift bag with their names in it, hand-written by the bride. Inside Lauren included: Tissues (to symbolize For Better or Worse), Lottery Tickets (For Richer or Poorer) and Hand Sanitizer (in Sickness and in health), as well as personalized wine bottle openers with their monogram and Drumore Estate engraved on them.
During dinner, Lauren and Joey opened the floor for all guests who would like to give a speech and or a toast to the newlyweds. It was beautiful to see all guests, one by one, standing up and talking about how special these two are!
